Timothy D. Taylor, EA - Tax Consultant

Affectionately referred to by the staff as "The Little Cheese," area native Tim Taylor joined the former Rea & Associates in 1997 with the acquisition of Noret Bookkeeping Service. He became partner in 2004 in the former Rea & Associates Firm. Tim has more than 35+ years of experience as an accounting and tax professional.

He earned an associate degree from Modesto Junior College in 1972 and spent the next 10 years working full-time for a local real estate firm. During this time, Tim began working part-time during tax season for Noret Bookkeeping Service. He became a full-time employee for Noret in 1985. A coworker, the late Betty Mount, became a mentor to Tim and inspired him to further his career in the tax field and become an Enrolled Agent when he passed the Enrolled Agent exam in 1989.

Tim is a member of the National Society of Enrolled Agents, California Society of Enrolled Agents, local Big Valley Chapter, is a “Fellow” of the National Tax Practice Institute and holds the destination of “Accredited Tax Advisor” from the Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation. In addition, he has been a Notary Public for 45+ years.

In December of 2023, he decided to step back and start semi-retirement. He is still active in administrative duties as required, maintains contact with staff and clients, and attends multiple tax seminars to maintain his Enrolled Agent status. Currently, he serves as treasurer of The Corson Foundation for Canine Specialization, a nonprofit geared to assisting canine associations who support police K-9 units in the surrounding areas.

Tim enjoys all types of travel and has visited many of our 50 states and ventured outside of the US visiting Austria, Canada, Slovenia and Italy. He particularly enjoys RV camping in the Clarks Fork area of the Stanislaus National Forest. He also enjoys now having more time to keep a well-maintained yard at home in his semi-retirement.
